Terumoto Mori built this castle at the Ota river delta, which proved to be a challenge. It was once a grand castle with many rows of turrets. The keep survived up to the war but was destroyed by the atomic bomb. Its impressive exterior, restored in Showa 33 (1958) is a symbol of Hiroshima's recovery and pride. A famous castle that is one with the hearts of those who wish for peace.
