It bears Aizu Sazae Temple on its back, with wing-like rowhouses on its shoulders. Propulsion units on its feet keep it mobile. With its halberd, it delivers the attack Sakura Shockwave at lightning speed. This Oshirobot personifies the spirit of Aizu: "Seek honor, not profit."

Its other name is Tsuruga Castle, Tsuru meaning crane (bird). Its contrast of red and white as it stands proudly in snow or cherry blossom certainly captures that image. It also has a sense of fragility, being the site of the fierce and tragic Aizu War. This castle makes one reflect on the past.

Katahiro
Pilot of the Aizuwakamatsu Castle Oshirobot.
A serious boy who admires samurai and faithfully observes the "Ten Laws of the Aizu Clan." His mother is European and he has inherited her blonde hair and blue eyes.
*Origin of name: the "Kata" in Katahiro comes from the kanji (容) the Aizu Matsudaira clan carries.
Takeko Nakano
Born to a family of samurai, she is a tragic figure who died young defending Aizu. She had a certificate of mastery of the naginata and training in the literary arts. In Oshirobots, she is self-conscious of her strict attitude.

The fusion of military leader Takeko Nakano and the deep feelings people have for Aizuwakamatsu Castle. She is part white fox, part crane, and oh-so fluffy! She respects Katahiro’s moral discipline but is also worries that he is living his life too rigidly.
