Built on Katsuie Shibata's former castle site for Hideyasu Yūki, Ieyasu Tokugawa's second son, this grand fortress was a national project. With the Orōka-bashi bridge (2008) and Yamazatoguchi Gate (2018) restored, and the Southwest Turret's restoration underway, it is slowly returning to its former glory. A thrillingly reborn castle for the future!
